Oracle Database Error Code ORA-29885 Description :

domain index is defined on the column to be modified

Error Cause:

An ALTER TABLE MODIFY COLUMN was issued on a column on which a domain index exists.

How to Solve :

Drop the domain index before attempting to modify the column.
