Oracle database error code ORA-16799 – Redo Apply is offline

Oracle Database Error Code ORA-16799 Description :
Redo Apply is offline
Error Cause:
Either the Data Guard broker metadata indicates that Redo Apply is turned off, or the recovery process, MRP0, is not running. In either of the cases, Redo Apply-related properties cannot be set.

How to Solve :
Turn on Redo Apply through Data Guard broker and reissue the command to set a Redo Apply-related property.
