Oracle database error code ORA-16600 – failover operation can only be submitted at target database

Oracle Database Error Code ORA-16600 Description :
failover operation can only be submitted at target database
Error Cause:
This error is returned when a failover request specified a different database than the database to which the client is currently connected.

How to Solve :
Explicitly connect to the database to which you wish to failover and reissue the failover request.
