Oracle database error code ORA-16007 – invalid backup control file checkpoint

Oracle Database Error Code ORA-16007 Description :
invalid backup control file checkpoint
Error Cause:
The backup control file being opened for read-only access does not contain a valid control file checkpoint. Therefore the database cannot be opened for read-only access.

How to Solve :
First open the database for read-write access which will result in valid control file checkpoint. Then re-open the database for read-only access.
