Oracle Database Error Code ORA-1512 Description :
error renaming log file string – new file string not found
Error Cause:
An attempt to change a log files name in the control file failed because no file was found with the new name.

How to Solve :
Make sure that the log file has been properly renamed by the operating system and retry.
